Emergence

Images captured with a rudimentary pinhole camera display natural inconsistencies and distortions. Balancing the camera on the ground or rocks produces a fluctuating horizon line.

A low point of view was chosen for these images to take advantage of an inherent attribute of all pinhole cameras, that of an infinite depth of field, or in other words, clear focus to the horizon.

A 35mm toy pinhole camera and black and white photographic film were used.
